My Cabinet of Curiosities project began as an idea inspired by witnessing another artists journey of healing through a creative practice that overlapped with a spiritual practice.
I wasn’t totally sure what it was going to become for me.
I can share with solidity now, after a whole moon cycle of engaging in the process of this project, that it has so much more power in it than I could of imagined.
Simple creative acts with big impact, especially when we start thinking about neuro pathways and how practicing anything strengthens or creates new ones.
I’m on the mission to de-program myself from the narratives and destructive ideals that led me to full system collapse. I am determined to do it as gently and as sustainably as possible, as we all know how limited our time and energy can be, especially as mothers and small business creatives in this time.
I think there is lots in this video that is really accessible to practice in everyday life. There doesn’t need to be a sketchbook component attached, the trick is to find a practice that feels like you, that you want to engage in, that helps you to experience the depth of the beauty and the awe in the simple moments. Something that helps hold you there or bring you back there and that lights you up. Remember that when we do something in play we learn from it sooooo much faster.
Big love to you all!
I hope that you get inspiration here to ripple some creative, connective magic back into your own life.
See you on the Full Moon xxx
