As I still have a bit of work to do getting my sketchbook tour from this cycle to you all, I thought that sharing a song expression on this new moon could open the conversation of fluidity between mediums and the joy / gifts in having diverse creative playgrounds.
I am ALL ABOUT opening up to exploring and expressing ourselves in anyway that feels good. Song has always been one of the main natural ways that I have explored to shift energy and to release emotion. Mostly my ‘songs’ just come in a stream of words and a melody and I catch them by taking a quick voice memo with my phone. Then I listen back and muse on how the poetry and feeling relates to whatever i’m going through at the time, or how it does’t seem to relate at all. If there is feeling in the expression that continues to move me I will learn the song through listening again and again and then play it around in my own space to muse on it further.
It’s a really fluid process and I love that it isn’ t rooted to anything or created for any purpose other than to just express and feel. Usually I only share these expressions with my couple of deep heart music buddies and then, only if I feel they might share something deeper with them, or that they might feel something new in them.
